Edgar Wallace was an English writer, born in London on April 1, 1875. As one of the most prolific writers of the 20th century, Wallace's expansive literary portfolio includes journalism, screenplays, and, most notably, his detective and crime novels. His early life in the impoverished district of Greenwich embedded a wealth of experience into his narrative tone, often weaving tales of intrigue and complexity.
